TIMMINS - It was all about 12 on Thursday night.

The Nate’s Whiskey Jacks clinched its 12th-straight championship with an 8-6 come-from-behind triumph over the Wacky Wings/Champoux Homes Orioles in Game 4 at Fred Salvador Field.

“It’s never fun to lose no matter which way you put it, whether we expected to win or expected to lose, it’s never good,” said Orioles’ player James Daschuk. “It’s hard to find a bright spot in this loss.”

Twelve was also the number of beloved Whiskey Jacks’ player Gerald Morin, who passed away in the middle of last season.

Each Whiskey Jacks player brandished a No. 12 patch on the sleeve of their jersey this season to commemorate his passing. READ MORE...
